The drive continues along the entire length of Loch Lomond then by way of Glen Lochy to romantic Kilchurn Castle, which stands guard at the head of Loch Awe. Oban is a picturesque fishing port situated on the Firth of Lorne. It is from here that the ferries set sail for the islands of the Inner and Outer Hebrides. Weíll have free time to discover this charming town for ourselves.
Our next stop is Inveraray which is situated by the banks of Loch Fyne. Built by the Duke of Argyll this attractive retains much of its 18th Century charm.
During our descent of the "Rest and be ThankfulĒ mountain pass we'll see the original road, built by General Wade, winding its way up the through the glen. Soon we reach the Argyll Forest Park where icy streams cascade down through wooded glens. Shortly we will return to the gentle shores of Loch Lomond once more and then to Glasgow.
