Full Tour Itinerary
Heading north from the capital, we journey through the rolling Kinross countryside to our first stop – Loch Leven. Here, we gaze across its tranquil waters to Lochleven Castle, whose imposing walls held Mary, Queen of Scots, captive in 1567 before her daring escape.
The historic theme continues as we reach Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, where world-renowned single malt has been carefully crafted since 1898. Enjoy a guided tour of its ancient vaults before sampling a range of its finest whiskies, each golden dram accompanied by local artisan chocolates.
The picturesque market town of Aberfeldy is our destination for lunch, where you can relax and explore the charms of its winding streets. Suitably refreshed, we then head to the banks of Loch Lubnaig and admire its glass-like serenity.
More delights await at Glenturret Distillery, where the pure waters of the nearby River Turret help create the finest Highland malt. Located in the town of Crieff, Glenturret is Scotland's oldest working distillery, dating from 1775. Here we enjoy a tour and tutored tasting.
Our final stop of the day allows plenty of time for snaps of the view over the Firth of Forth, including the impressive Forth Bridge – before we retrace our steps back to Edinburgh.
