Full Tour Itinerary
We bid goodbye to Edinburgh and head towards Falkirk to visit Helix Park, the home of the colossal 30-metre-high horse head statues known as The Kelpies. These man-made wonders symbolise the power and endurance of the heavy horses the once shaped Scotland’s industry and economy.
Driving through the quiet roads deeper into the Highlands, we are surrounded by the beautiful scenery that Scotland is world-famous for, passing lush forests, sparkling rivers and picturesque glens before we arrive in the little town of Crieff.
We stop for lunch at one of the most famous distilleries in Scotland - Glenturret, home of The Famous Grouse. Here you can enjoy a tour of the distillery and maybe a wee dram of uisge beatha, which means the ‘water of life’ in Gaelic.
Later travel through the delightful Perthshire scenery to reach The Hermitage, where we follow the short woodland trail to the magnificent Black Linn Falls, at the most dramatic section of the River Braan.
On our journey home, we pass through charming Dunkeld, a picturesque village in Macbeth country, and admire splendid Dunkeld Cathedral, which sits on the north bank of the River Tay.
On our way back to Edinburgh, we pass the Forth Bridge, one of Scotlands’s most iconic images. This impressive structure has been accorded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a short drive into central Edinburgh and the end of our tour.
