Full Tour Itinerary
We leave Edinburgh behind and shortly we are passing the impressive sight of Stirling Castle and the commanding Wallace Monument. Soon we enter Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park to discover Rob Roy MacGregor country. We make our way across remote Rannoch Moor before stopping in spectacular Glen Coe, the scene of the infamous massacre in 1692. Our tour continues through Fort William and lofty Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest peak before arriving at the banks of Loch Ness.
When we reach Fort Augustus a culinary event awaits at the award-winning Lovat Hotel. On arrival you’ll be seated in the restaurant by the friendly staff and treated to a sumptuous ‘Taste of Scotland’ afternoon tea, celebrating Scotland’s finest food. You have the chance to experience the best of local specialities such as smoked salmon, Highland Gouda, wild game and typical scottish desserts. After a relaxed meal you can go ‘Nessie spotting’ on a short stroll along the banks of the loch or just relax by the locks of the Caledonian Canal.
Our journey back to Edinburgh takes us through Glen Spean and along the banks of shimmering Loch Laggan. We enter the stunning scenery of the Cairngorm National Park and travel over the Drumochter Pass to reach Perthshire, a land of forests, rivers and mountains. The last part of our journey takes us past Loch Leven, forever connected to Mary Queen of Scots, and through the ancient Kingdom of Fife. We view the spectacular Forth Bridges before arriving back in Edinburgh around 8.00pm.
