Full Tour Itinerary
Begin your day with a scenic drive through Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, where you’ll take in the stunning landscapes that inspired the legend of Rob Roy.
After admiring the views over Loch Tulla from the Black Mount, travel through the windswept wilderness of Rannoch Moor, which extends for some 50 square miles and is one of the most unspoilt areas in Europe.
We stop in Glen Coe, the “Glen of Weeping”, to appreciate its atmospheric splendour. In 1692, forty of the resident MacDonald clan were massacred in cold blood by the Campbells for not rejecting the Jacobite cause. We’ll hear the story of this infamous event.
We travel to Fort William in the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain’s tallest mountain. We’ll stop at the Commando Memorial to enjoy the views before entering the Great Glen to enjoy the magnificent scenery of its three lochs: Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, and Loch Ness. We stop in the pretty little village of Fort Augustus, where you can stroll along the banks of Loch Ness or enjoy a cruise on the loch.
Our journey continues through Glen Spean, where we enter the naturally stunning Cairngorms National Park. Look out for Ardverikie House standing on the banks of Loch Laggan. It’s been used as a filming location in The Crown, Monarch of the Glen and Mrs Brown.
Enjoy rugged landscapes and picturesque views as we travel through Glen Garry and enter Highland Perthshire, where we will stop for refreshments. The last part of our journey takes us through Strathallan towards Stirling, where we will see its mighty castle and the towering Wallace Monument before returning to Glasgow in the evening.
